In 1991, Ron started one-on-one instruction with clients who needed either to learn basic computer skills or to be trained in some specific new technology. In recent years the company has focused on the Microsoft Office Professional programs for Windows due to their widespread popularity. The staffing addition of Ron’s wife, Mary Ann, in 1997 allowed REL to expand the instruction and to include accounting/bookkeeping services to REL clients. Mary Ann’s many years of office management qualified her to assume these roles.
Also in 1997, the business widened its functionality by implementing the Computer Tutor Mobile Classroom, a long time dream of Ron’s. The introduction of the Mobile Classroom enabled REL to literally bring the classroom right to the site, thus eliminating some of the problems associated with conventional computer training.

In the spring of 1998, Jason Rhode joined the REL team. Although a skilled instructor, Jason’s interest lies in the technical aspects of the industry, giving REL the ability to grow into a “full service” computer business. Jason’s ten years of experience in the Army make him qualified to “be all that he can be”. Although training is still the top priority, sales and service of computer equipment, networking, and database creations now play a role as the company broadens it scope.
